Short for boys - where to buy ones that aren't long?

For DS (age 10) who has decided he doesn't want the longer shorts that are easy to buy anywhere. He wants ones that aren't swim shorts, but are about that length (mid-thigh).

Anyone seen any? All I can find are too long or too short, or too like footie shorts. I'm running out of ideas of where to look.

I just bought some for DS in H&M that are thigh-length and went up to 12; red, khaki, grey, black and blue. HTH

I've had a look at Zara online and they're promising. Do you know how the sizing comes up? He's very skinny.
