GOSH Cosmetics, what are they like?

Ive noticed them in Superdrug. The colours are lovely, especially the nail varnish. They are expensive though, for Superdrug. Where is the brand from? is it new? has anyone tried them?

I don't know where its from, as such but I did buy a greys/silvers/charcoals eyeshadow compact which is pretty nice and a brow taming palette which is quite good (though I tend to default to my Benefit eyeshadow for that) but that's all I've had.

They had some quite good primers, but I only tested them on the back of my hand.

I just nipped out and bought a lipgloss its like a MAC one I had years ago that they stopped doing. It goes on lovely. £7.99 though. I always think of Superdrug as being as cheap as chips!

I've used their Nail polish and its fab, possibly the best quality one I've used. Especially the gold, silver ones. They quite often do 3for2 on them too.

katkitya · 15/06/2011 21:02

I must go and look. Im looking for a goldfish colour.

bronzing/sparkling pearls are great.
gosh packaging looks like smashbox.

katkitya · 15/06/2011 21:59

It does look smart next to the Barry M and Rimmel.

Eye liners are brillll, actually use them instead of eye shadow as there creamy and stay on great

mippy · 16/06/2011 12:53

If you fill out the survey on the back of the receipt, you can get 25% off - handy if you want to pick up a couple of things.

Eyeshadows aren't great but the polymer eyeliners are amazing.

valiumredhead · 16/06/2011 13:38

I don;t like them - I think they are a bit pricey for what they are.

catinboots · 16/06/2011 13:53

The waterproof eyeshadow sticks are amazing

Better than any expensive brand. And I'm a make-up junkie. They last all day.

katkitya · 16/06/2011 15:30

Ive never warn eyeshadow sticks before, arent they abit harsh?

OP posts:
catinboots · 16/06/2011 16:02

no - they're soft and creamy. Almost like a lipstick texture, but not greasy.

Pootles2010 · 16/06/2011 16:06

I bought a lipstick/stain felt tip pen thingie - I hate it. Its truly awful. Colour is horrid, doesn't go on evenly, just nasty.

TrillianAstra · 16/06/2011 16:07

Their silver nail polish is really hard to get off even if you try.

lololizzy · 17/06/2011 00:53

the Extreme Art eyeliners are amazing and i won't use anything else; they're the only thing to stay put on me (very watery eyes)...(have every single colour, and stock up when they do 3 for 2's!)love all their range (apart from mascara and blusher which have never tried), their foundation is also the best i've tried. Packaging looks a bit like MAC but in my opinion, the products are far superior..i've never had a good result with any MAC products. I don't think Gosh is pricey at all for the quality.
and no,i dont work for MAC or Superdrug!

lololizzy · 17/06/2011 00:54

Nippy, isn't that discount just for Superdrug's own brands?

katkitya · 17/06/2011 12:09

I think it is their own brand.

OP posts:
bananamonkey · 17/06/2011 12:48

Can I second the eyeliners, they are the best ones I've ever used (better than my mac powerpoint pencil), go on really easily and they don't smudge. They are often 3 for 2.

katkitya · 17/06/2011 20:10

Its not something I really wear. I would just stick to charcoal. What colours to you buy and do you wear them upper or lower?

OP posts:
ItsNotRocketSurgery · 17/06/2011 20:28

Just bought some of the eyeliners on your recommendations!

Right now it is "buy 2 things get a free nail varnish"

katkitya · 17/06/2011 21:40

Do you like the eyeliners? what colours did you get?

I do like their colour selection for nail varnish.

I think I will be going down there tomorrow.

OP posts:
mippy · 17/06/2011 22:18

I thought they were a separate brand too, but no, when I got some of their stuff a while ago they took off a full 25%. 3 for 2 plus 25% off plus Beautycard points = practically free!

gracehedley · 17/06/2011 22:21

katkitya, this lip gloss, is the colour noticeable? Just started another thread asking for lip gloss with good colour as I was trying them out today and could hardly notice any colour.

katkitya · 17/06/2011 22:22

cant you only use it once though?

OP posts:
bananamonkey · 17/06/2011 22:23

I wear the black pencil one every day under my eyes. I have also have purple, blue-grey and dark green that I do upper and lower for more 'going out' make up.
