Help me!! What to wear to house of lords!

I have been invited to a function at speakers house. It says on the invitation the dress code is smart, but casual. So def not evening wear, but what the he'll to wear. Dh is wearing black suit but no tie. I do have a navy blue fitted dress but I'm worried it's ott!
So link me what you think you would wear. There will be famous people there too!!
If you need to know I'm 5ft, large boobs and hips.

Or you could go sort of peg leg trousers, silky blouse?

I don't have much at all tbh. If I can people's opinions then try local charity shops or something like marks or tkmaxx! Blush
It's for a charity do, so going to be tapping people fir money too!!

What have you currently got in your wardrobe that you love to wear and could make more of with some cheap new accessories - think primark or new look.

I think if you are mixing with slebs, then it is important to feel that you look good, and not be hitching at a new shirt or something.

the dress you linked too is sort of silky? could look a bit evening wear? Have you go a simple cotton jersey wrap dress, that would fit the bill I think,
