Oasis at £15 per pair are my least see through , Topshop are semi see through and Next are like tights so avoid them!

doozle · 14/06/2011 22:14

Fat Face

Gillybobs · 14/06/2011 22:15

Mint Velvet leggings are pricier (about £19 I think) but excellent quality

Tillyscoutsmum · 14/06/2011 22:16

White Stuff are not see through

geraldinetheluckygoat · 14/06/2011 22:18

wallis ones are 12 quid and are nice. The ones Ive worn loads and had over a year have gone see through but they weren't initially!!

SayItLoud · 14/06/2011 22:43

M&S Indigo range leggings are the best I have, and they last years.

animula · 14/06/2011 22:55

I'm wearing M and S ones at the moment that I bought about two or three years ago.

That is making me feel really, really old for some reason. Partly because I really can't remember when - the years are blurring.

But ... back to the point. They have really lasted. And they are not at all invisible-going. I would imagine they are the same as the current M and S ones, though I think I bought them from Ltd Collection at the time.

AnyFucker · 14/06/2011 22:57

I have some from River island that have a small percentage of wool in them

they are fab

EightiesChick · 14/06/2011 23:27

M&S. Also I got surprisingly good ones from Peacocks a couple of years ago.

jennylindinha · 14/06/2011 23:38

I got a couple of pairs of really good (and cheap) ones from TU at Sainsbury's recently. Really comfy and mostly cotton. I don't know why it is so hard to find good leggings these days, it's like finding the the holy grail!

Zwitterion · 15/06/2011 08:08

Second whitestuff. Boden aren't see through and people on here have rated them but they fall down on me.

HappyAsIAm · 15/06/2011 09:18

M&S. I have their limited collection and portfolio collection leggings (no differences between them) from last year, and they're still great. And not bobbly or saggy either.

Cattleprod · 15/06/2011 09:28

Select. Cheap and surprisingly good quality.

But Mumsecret, please tell us that you mean see-through at the knees and you are not wearing leggings without the obligatory long top/dress/tunic? Next you'll be wearing linen trousers and a waterfall cardi!! (will let you off though if said leggings are being worn for exercise)

GeekLove · 15/06/2011 09:32

American Apparral. But they are rather pricey. I am also going to buy cheap leggings to cut down to shorts-under-dresses.

polyhymnia · 15/06/2011 09:51

I find Boden very good. Certainly not see-through.

MumSecret · 15/06/2011 09:57

Aaaargh. Yes, yes of course only to wear with long tops/dresses

It is the knees that bother me when you sit down IYSWIM?

I may have let myself go somewhat since having dd2, but things are not so bad that I would ever show my bum in leggings

I rarely get to wear said leggings anyway as I struggle so much to find nice tops to go with them. I see loads of people wearing nice things with leggings and they look so comfortable for toddler groups and the like, but I am yet to put a successful outfit together myself.

Definately M&S they still look as good as new.

moragbellingham · 15/06/2011 10:07

M&S Autograph are slightly better than the other depts of M&S IMO. When you compare both one after the other there is a definite difference in some colours and thicknesses.
They are about £2 more expensive.

Lambskin · 15/06/2011 15:08

Hush have really good quality ones too.

sprinkles77 · 15/06/2011 15:25

I have M&S Indigo ones. I wish it were only the knees that were see through. Wore them horseriding. Had to ride on a reasonably busy road. Realised that the interested looks were the result of stripey knickers showing through, not the lovely horse [blush[. Serves me right for being too mean to buy proper jodhpurs.

Mumelie · 15/06/2011 15:26

Boden, White Stuff and M&S Autograph and Indigio range ones. Made the mistake of buying cheaper M&S ones recently (think they were 2 pairs for £15) and they are see through, esp on the thighs Blush.

Huh?

theladylovescupcakes · 10/04/2013 20:55

I bought the Sainsburys Tu luxury leggings for £10 yesterday after being recommended on another thread. Very impressed! Comfortable thick waistband, long enough (I'm 5ft9) and pretty thick.

morethanyoubargainfor · 10/04/2013 21:01

American apparel, I am still wearing the winter ones which although pricey are fab and very thick. imho this is the best place to buy them from.
