I'm going to Aldi at the weekend and have heard so many good things about their make up etc.

What would you recommend to buy?

Nail polish is fab. Limited colours, but totally indestructible!

BulletWithAName · 14/06/2011 11:30

Their under eye concealer is great!

Naetha · 14/06/2011 13:21

What is their touche eclat copy called?

They do a glowy vit b day cream which is good

BulletWithAName · 14/06/2011 13:25

It's just called Lacura Concealer Pen. It comes in three shades- Savanna (sandy colour), Cashmere (rosy colour) and Amber (for olive skins, I use this one).

Evizza · 14/06/2011 14:52

The Lacura concealer pen is the touche eclat copy and is really really good.

Their multi intensive serum is also really really good.

I have just started using their under eye roller with caffeine and hyaluronic acid and absolutely love it !!

Their eye creams are quite good too Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/06/2011 19:36

I used the eyeshadow and it didn't crease all night or disappear.

The body lotion in the blue bottle is very good.

reikizen · 14/06/2011 19:38

facial cleansing wipes are also great, the pink ones are the ones I get. Face powder is lovely too.

Mamaz0n · 14/06/2011 19:42

I must be the most massive snob. It simply wouldn't occur to me to go to Aldi for anything S&B related.

Might have to check one out, everyone on Mn seems to be raving about the place

cybbo · 14/06/2011 19:44

I'm all for a bargain but buying make up next to pallets of stacked up pink wafers and walking socks is a step too far for me

noddyholder · 14/06/2011 21:04

The make up is very good I am unfortunately loyal to certain brands which i think is age not quality!

OpusProSerenus · 14/06/2011 21:08

Lip gloss is fab, there is a browny coloured one called Nougat that is a great neutralish colour and it tastes lovely

DontNickMyMilk · 14/06/2011 21:13

Blue top body lotion is fab - I find some body lotions don't do an awful lot and you can't tell you've put anything on an hour later.

Have also used the night cream - not too greasy, and the mascara (cheap and cheerful enough for me to replace regularly as rarely wear makeup).

wednesday13 · 14/06/2011 21:27

I would vote for the pressed powder too, I am very fair and use the Translucent/transparent I think it is.

notyummy · 14/06/2011 21:51

I use the pressed powder. Tis good!

AbigailS · 14/06/2011 21:51

Although I quite like their skincare products I really don't like the smell. The moisturiser I've got (can't remember the exact name but it's anti-aging and in a pink lidded pot) smells cheap and artificial and reminded me of the horrid suncream my mum used to plaster me in on holiday when I was little.

sparkle1977 · 15/06/2011 13:58

I second the nail polishes but steer clear of the hand creams and face moisturisers - they all smell vile.

MrsMeow · 15/06/2011 19:02

Lip gloss and eye shadows are amazing, I prefer the lip gloss to any other and the eye shadows are on a par with Urban Decay IMO :)

Naetha · 15/06/2011 19:22

Got the under eye concealer and some nail varnish - will replace my serum, face cream etc as I need to - it's worth a try for £3ish :)
