What shoes with this dress?

I've not been able to find a picture online, but it's a dark-grey leopard print, flimsy material (definitely warm-weather wear), with fluttery cap sleeves, cinched wast and hem a few inches above the knee. Very 'pretty' in cut, though the colour is more sophisticated than girly. I'd quite like to wear it with bare legs, though my mum has suggested black tights and flats or ankle boots. What think you ladies?

i'd go for bare legs or very thin tan tights.

where are you wearing it?

ChateauMargot · 08/06/2011 13:53

Thanks, Daenerys. I'd be wearing it out during the day - summer lunch parties, casual drinks, that sort of thing...

during the day i think it would look great with a pair of mid-wedge strappy sandals-or if you are comfortable with high wedges even better -i like the idea of wearing it with ankle boots but i think it would look better in the evening iykwim

Oh yes, boots for evening definitely. Re sandals: Do you think tan/brown would work? Or must it be black/grey? I do have a pair of tangerine wedges...

personally i would go for black but i don't think black or tan would look bad, i just prefer black because i can wear it with more outfits than brown/tan

for example if you're doing a lot of standing up/walking
i'd wear these

of if you're perfectly ok with high wedges these - i do like.

as for the tangerine...ehh i like colour blocking but with a print.. perhaps not! hehe. hth

Daenerys · 08/06/2011 15:14

black or tan was meant to be brown or tan - doh!

ChateauMargot · 08/06/2011 15:16

Fair point!

The high wedges are cool... I don't suppose I could find similar for less? The dress I got at the Oliver Bonas outlet sale for 20 quid, so would feel a bit silly spending twice as much on shoes to go with..!
