Another plea for accessory help with dress...

I have a Reiss dress very similar to this one but mine is a deep cerise pink. I want to wear it to a wedding in a few weeks time...in Scotland. First off, am I mad even contemplating wearing something so potentially freezing??

If I do go ahead, please advise on what shoes/bag/jacket etc I should be looking to wear with it. I quite like the idea of a bright clutch, maybe yellow - but if I do this, I'm not quite sure what colour shoes to wear....

There is going to be a ceiliedh so, whilst I know that heels are a must, I think I need something quite comfy to dance in. Or else ditch my shoes after the meal!

if you're going for colour blocking i have a few ideas! as for shoes it's very difficult to find a very comfy and good looking pair (IMHO kitten heels would not do the dress justice at all) so i'd just ditch them. i will create a polyvore for you, you might find it a bit mad!

this is my idea! as i said i think it's a case of love it or hate it. ofc i'm not saying go ahead and buy the ridiculously expensive items but there are plenty of cheaper alternatives on the high street :) HTH!

Wow - that's cool!! How did you do that?! Love it all actually, as I really like the colour blocking trend.

That's my other options actually....a maxi dress which is black at the bust, with a thick gold band just under (empire line) and then three wide panels of fabric - yellow, then red, then pink at the bottom. It's a bit like a fruit pastilles lolly but I love it.

that sounds great!!! i made it using polyvore - it's a program that lets you use photos to make a collage - you can even add your own pics - say if the dress you want is on a website but not on polyvore :) i find it easier to express what i'm trying to say fashion-wise.

Can you use it for other things too, like interiors? Really great idea as I often want to piece together a 'look' but can't be faffed with jumping between websites the whole time.

Am wavering towards taking the easy option - i.e. maxi dress, as I can wear flats with it! And it may be a little warmer (I could even wear leggings under if it got too cold!) but I feel I should give my strappy bodycon dress an outing soon....hmmm......what to do?!

absolutely :) it takes practice - you need to find products facing the right way - etc - perspective matters more here where as all the clothes are flat -but check these sets out made by other, more experienced members!

could you perhaps wear the maxi for the day and bodycon for the evening? i know it means double the accessories but it's something you can wear on lots of different occasions!

That would be very flash....an outfit change, I like it . Might ask DH what he thinks... It'll be an interesting test for him....short sexy dress exposing legs, etc but meaning an additional spend on accessories or fairly conservative maxi dress with shoes already taken care of. Which will he choose?!

yes dairymoo but for example if you eat too many salty foods your body will also retain water so you will be heavier
