Is it odd for you to buy a dress because you are a bit more tomboy ish? If so might be worth considering accessorising it in a way to make you feel more comfy. I like to have a bit of 'edge' to my outfits so might accessorise that with my black cardi with cut out lace back and my short battered black cowboy boots.
