Wedding in Scotland, what to wear?

I need to find something to wear to an all day wedding in 2 weeks time. It is in Scotland - so have no idea what the weather will be like and the reception is in the garden.

I'm thinking of ordering a whole range of stuff and deciding on the morning once I see the weather!

I need either a full length dress or trousers as I have a dodgy ankle and have probs with footwear (another prob!!)

I am 5 11 and a size 16 - but quite masculine looking build. Blond, mid length hair.

Anyone seen anything appropriate.

Well, apart from yesterday, it has been very cold and wet with more cold and wet to follow.
I am no fashionista but suggest something warmer.

I got married in Scotland (twice) - both on or around the same day as my friends wedding - it was 80 degrees both times (even though peeing down on the preceeding days!) So I'm taking no chances - but also don't want a beach type maxi in case I look like a tube!!

I really like this one from Great Plains I think its rich colour means you could wear a little sparkly black cardi if it was cold

Nice Gillybobs - but I think it will make my tum and hips look big.

That kind of material can be unforgiving, although there's always hold it in pants. Have both wellies and wedges for walking on grass on an outdoor Scottish wedding

I'll wear it with spanx and a control slip, think the weight of all that fabric will help it hand nicely. Have just ordered it tonight so will report back when it arrives
