Red Polka Dot Dress - What do I wear with it?

Help!!

I've finally decided on a dress to wear to a wedding next month but I've got no idea what to wear with it jewellery/shoes/hair wise.

Anyone fancy helping me out? I'm not big on spending loads, but I can usually find a close match on ebay.

Ah, Sybill - you're clearly a mumsnet expert and am sure you're absolutely right. I don't have time to explore or master the etiquette of internet forums and was only trying to be helpful. As I said, I mentioned eBay because the original poster did and I thought I might be able to help.

Frankly, I just came here for a look-see and to investigate why all this traffic was coming from here, but I need not to be patronised or told how to use a forum. Lots of peeps telling me not to come near MN but wanted to give benefit of doubt - but it does seem to be a minefield.

You live and learn!

(I love the Fairy washing up analogy on this thread, tho - if recommending clothes is the same as recommending washing up liquid this is deffo not the place for me :o)

lol @ you not needing to be patronised. But it is fine for you to come and patronise us of course.... Hmm

JoPayton · 04/06/2011 17:29

I didn't know it was patronising to answer a request for help finding fashion by saying 'I work in fashion and am happy to help'.

P.S. Cookie - bet it flies by! I hesitate to even say this, but I work as features ed for a wedding website - only since Jan so still learning the ropes wedding-wise but any fashion/accessories queries are good practice for me so pls feel free to PM/email me if you need any leads for dresses etc.

Does it have to get so nasty? I come on S&B because it is so much happier and friendlier than say Relationships, where everyone is either flaming each other or has axes to grind. Think I'll bugger off from here now. There's only the book club left.

Girls, be nice
