Long leggings or opaque tights with these killer heels? Which would you choose? xx

Ok, party in two weeks and have a halterneck mini dress - black with little silver sparkly dots.

Have bought the killer black suede stilletoes with a little bit of a platform sole. So far so good - but ....

Ankle length black leggings or good quality black opaque tights????? CANNOT DECIDE.

I have quite good legs. Av height, busty. Not skinny, not fat. Smile

Opinions please - anyone? xx

i hate leggings, tights every time! more elegant. and makes your legs look longer coz they dont cut off at the ankle. :)

What about nude tights? Good quality will be v flattering, not like American Tan! More seasonal than black IMO. Can you link to the dress? Sounds lovely Smile

Tights, definitely!

ZacharyQuack · 31/05/2011 23:15

Leggings add another element of detail to your ankle, which can detract from the look of the shoe. Go for tights or bare legs.

tights would look nicer with stilettos. i think leggings look better with ankle/knee high boots where you can't necessarily see the ankle being cut off.

Yes! Thank you - i think you're right :)

I was leaning towards tights, tbh, the bare ankle thing is right. Breaks up the line. I'm not brave enough to wear bare legs/nude tights - would look a bit too fleshy i think. Its going to be mixed age company, young and old - y'know? Dont want to frighten the horses as they say!

The dress IS lovely, its 'slippery' fabric, stretchy and comes in black with silver or gold dots. From a shop online called 'blue bannana'. I've bought lots from there. Everything comes wrapped beautifully with ribbons and a lolly pop! Any one know it? There are two shops with that name online when you google it. One has lovely tops and dresses - realy wearable, and the other shop is a bit goth and wird IMO, so get the right one! Well worth a look.

Thank you ladies -

Is it this dress ?

misty0 · 01/06/2011 16:06

Yes thats the one. Thank you for providing the link. You tie the halterneck to the length that suits you and so you can get the fit just right. Love it.
