I went for a wash/cut/blowdry on Saturday and I'm really not happy. I have long, thick curly hair which I am still trying to grow a bit more so I asked hairdresser several times to just dust the ends off when cutting, keep layers long etc. She blowdried it straight first, then cut it, and she was cutting it as if I wear it straight, not taking curls into account. She's taken FAAAAAR too much off. I asked her to stop cutting when she was going over it for the third time
but she said she needed to even up the other side, it would be too heavy otherwise, would look great when curly etc etc. I decided she must know what she was doing
so went along with it
It looked ok when straight but now I've washed it and it's curly again, I'm really not happy with it. I know there's nothing that can be done, and it doesn't look hideous or anything, but she's taken about 4 months growth off and that is not what I asked for. I'm planning to just vote with my feet and never go back there for a cut again, but would be interested to know how you have handled any similar situations??? I guess I need to be more assertive in future and am fishing for tips! TIA
