How ethical is Boden?

I've just sent my nieces a couple of cotton dresses each as I had vouchers and, there's nothing for us. I got a text from sis saying stop wasting my money as she can get the same quality in primark for a fiver! I tried the ethical arguement but even I don't know if they are ethical!!

Ethical stuff at Boden.

I don't think they are particularly - but bought some stuff from here which is great (and organic and CHEAPER). A T shirt my son has - high compliment to price ratio!

It's a subject I've been discussing with friends lately (for work, so apols if this all sounds clinical) - the lack of good quality, ethical, affordable children's clothing. Not really worth it to buy expensive stuff for kids - they just keep growing...

No idea but how ungrateful of your sister Hmm
I have no idea of their ethics. But I do wish they'd stop sending me their damn catalogue every month. I bought one top, four years ago. ANd it got sent back. So Johnny, pease leave me alone. MY dc do love cutting them up though.

your sister is remarkably ungrateful

To be fair, Boden might not be particularly ethical but Primark is most definitely worse!

It'd be something my sister might say to me but it wouldn't be her being ungrateful - just honest. I think it's the tone and unwritten assumptions that count with stuff like that and sisters.

I don't know if she is though or is just telling the truth? With three of them it is expensive to keep up with the clothes. I got their Winter coats from there last year and they were good quality. I just don't want them to be in Primark like all their mates. The thing with Boden is that it's different for their area. I hate how she makes the decisions without showing them the clothes.
