Hello in desperate need of jeans advice.

Am 52, but still looking OK (or so I am told!). Am 5'6" size 12/14, long legs (proportionately), small(ish) bottom, bit of a tummy.

I want some new jeans (don't care about price as will keep for ages if I love them).

Can anyone recommend good style, brand please? I would really like to go somewhere and try on and get advice (I am in central London), but don't know where.

Have thought of buying on net a porter but not sure of size in jeans and don't want hassle of returning if no good.

I like JBrand jeans. They sell them at Browns. Once you know your size and the best style to go for then you can look around for sale items. They are quite true to size. I'm a 10/12 and take a 29 in JBrand.

I've just ordered some Levi Curve ID jeans - they have an online tutorial to show you how to measure your self for the jeans and what "curve" you are... I ordered them as someone else on here recommended them!

Thanks so much.

I am a bit scared of horrible shop assistants and ending up with Martine McCutcheon style 'mum' jeans.

At the moment have one ancient pair of boyfriend style and they are falling apart.

I will second the Levis Curve ID. I love mine and they fit perfectly. They cost £85. I got mine from the Regent Street store and the staff were very helpful and kept bringing me jeans to try until I got the ones I liked.

I can get to Regent St easily, so that sounds good option dexter73. Thanks.

The staff in the Levi's store a really nice and helpful. I think they must have a big focus on customer service and product knowledge training as a company so I'd really recommend going in. Don't be scared!

Thank you. I will go. Have bad cold today so staying on sofa, but it will be a treat for when I am better.

Will feel better anyway when I have new cool jeans to wear!

Also love the Levi Curve jeans. Hadn't worn mine for ages and wore them on Saturday and thought "wow, these look good." That doesn't often happen me with jeans!
