Please dress me for a wedding... have no idea what to wear!

I'm going to a wedding at the end of July, where I am going to be seeing friends that I haven't seen in a couple of years.

I am 5'3", size 8-10, small of boob but have a definite mummy tummy - my problem area (someone asked if I was expecting the other day - DC2 is a year old Blush) Pale skin, blue eyes, dark hair.

Any ideas? Budget is quite small (looking for high street prices really) but I will need shoes etc.

Something like this www.coast-stores.com/DACIA-DRESS/Wedding-Guest/coast/fcp-product/2143409915 it nips in well at the waist so might disguise the mummytummy?

clarkykitten · 25/05/2011 22:07

Ooh, I like that though would maybe prefer a bit of a V neck and a bit cheaper, as will have to get accessories as well... but lovely dress, really like the colour!

I'm about an inch taller than you, pale, dark hair and blue eyes with a mummy tummy and I tried it on and it looked, a good colour.

Off to look for cheaper v necks now then!

YorkieGate · 25/05/2011 22:17

Not v-neck but would hide the tummy area really well shop.mango.com/ficha.faces?id=41440560&state=she_006_IN

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/05/2011 22:20

this is brilliant for hiding mum tum

YorkieGate · 25/05/2011 22:23

Again, detail on the dress to cover the tum, but this one is quite short www.oasis-stores.com/Twist-One-Shoulder-Dress/Occasionwear/oasis/fcp-product/3170086840

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/05/2011 22:23

pretty

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/05/2011 22:25

possibly a bit plain but could be dressed up nicely

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/05/2011 22:28

great shape

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/05/2011 22:33

bright but I like it

clarkykitten · 25/05/2011 22:37

Wow, thanks for those YorkieGate and Tilly. I really like the idea of having some detail on the dress to distract from my tummy. I particularly like the River Island and Wallis ones. I also like the one shouldered dress but I need to be careful as I have quite slim hips but broader shoulders so they can make me look a bit top heavy. That's why I think V necks suit me better too.

Nice shape to it www.coast-stores.com/JAVINE-DRESS/Dresses/coast/fcp-product/2224738620

Happy shopping! Wish I had an excuse to buy a dress now Sad

I like the River Island one best I think, though really like the one shoulder one though I have bricklayers shoulders and it would look god awful on me!

clarkykitten · 26/05/2011 19:58

Thanks again :) Think I may go for the River Island one as it is a good price and I like the shape. Now I just need some shoes and jewellery...
