Oooh I would love this but can see that it would be a pain. Which would you like to go for or would suit your shape better? Do you have anything you could use as a starting point for either era?

BunnyLebowski · 23/05/2011 10:47

Here ya go.

I've just bought this dress from here and it's gorgeous. They're cheap as chips too.

Adore this one

Cute nautical

BunnyLebowski (love the name btw) - blimey, they are cheap!
The last one, the slinky red is a possible contender.... wonder if I could find a full-length one... Thank you!

RottenRow See, if it was 20's/30's theme, I would be okay - I'm tall, size 12 and am practically flat-chested. With my children also came a really awful varicose vein in my shin - so as a general rule, for weddings and the like, I usually go with maxi-dresses. I don't own anything that would be suitable dress-wise, but do have a brilliant pair of dark purple patent wedges...

any ideas?

Someone linked to this e-bay site on another thread. Lots of slinky long dresses, but mostly black or red. How about this in blue?

lovelybertha · 23/05/2011 11:34

Oooh! You're definitely on the right lines with that blue one. I'm getting more enthusiastic about this now...

I guess I could use a bit of tit-tape to stop it from being gapey round the top Blush

That teal one is gorgeous - very Jessica Rabbit!!

This is nice in the purple and in the red.

Oooh this is lush! You could really make it 1940's with the right accessories/make-up/hair!

lovelybertha · 23/05/2011 11:45

I do like that first one Bunny - what colour shoes would you wear with that?

Do you think silver shoes with the teal?

Sorry - 20 questions here, but I'm so uncertain... don't usually 'do' glamorous!

Where is Otchayanie when you need her (I think I've spelt that wrong by the way apologies...)
