Clinique City Block - SPF 25 or SPF 40?

I have used the SPF 40 before and really liked it but thinking of getting the SPF 25 next time. Please can anyone tell me the difference in the two types of city block, apart from the SPF Grin

Is one a mineral block?

I have the 40 as well, was not aware of any difference in formulation. Will watch with interest!

I've both.Diunno difference apart from 40 being MUCH heavier.

What Moondog says. I took the spf25 and think it evens things out well. I think the 40 is maybe more pigmented so maybe would need a bit more blending in.

I think the 25 is oil free? Pretty sure that's why I bought it over the 40??

Thanks for your replies. I am sure I read on here that one is a mineral formulation and one isn't. I can't remember which way round though.

I have got both in the cupboard at the moment I always used the spf 25- for about 20 years! Then I started on the spf 40 thinking it would be better; but not so sure. the 25 is a mineral block and the 40 is chemical. The 40 is actually a bit sheerer. I prefer the 25 as I don't like putting chemicals on my face if i can avoid it. I read somewhere that the suscreen in facial products is spread so thinly on your face that the difference between 25 and 40 is not actually that much.

Thanks cabbageroses I think I will choose the 25 this time
