Bikini? One piece? Help me!

I'm 40 this year and I haven't worn a bikinin since DS2. I'm in OK shape but after two c sections I have a flabby tummy. I have been wearing a one-piece for three years and time to shop for a new one.

My friends are all telling me that I'd be OK in a bikini, but it needs to be high cut on the body. I'd feel better in a one piece, with tummy tucker!

I'd like a halter neck type as they suit my shape better (small boobs broad shoulders). Any suggestions/ recommendation? Thanks!

Wear a bikini. You will stand out far less than wearing a 1 piece to the beach.

Everyone has their issues but please don't let it spoil your enjoyment of lolling around on the beach with your LOs :)

Don't have time to link to anything but Boden have some boy short type bikinis which come up higher on the tum. Toast usually does a 50s style bikini too. If it is at all helpful, I have refused to wear anything but bikini on the beach for the last 10 years and my stomach resembled Austrian blinds/unmade bed :o. IME someone will always look hotter and someone will look worse.

I'm in the same situation (2 cs and flabby) and have been buying swimsuits and tankinis.
These are for swimming in though, and decided yesterday to buy a bikini as I will have something to motivate me don't care anymore for holidays.
Bought the Boden chic swimsuit and was impressed with it's ruching over wobbly areas and ability to cover up cleavage (or not) that I ordered the bikini. It's underwired, with bottoms that can fold down so we'll see.

I may be boring, but I'd go for a one-piece. I'm like you - small boobs and big shoulders, and I always feel that I look less gross more elegant in a one-piece. I don't like the look of bikinis on anyone, apart from tiny teenagers. Perhaps I'm just getting old, though........

I'd go for a lovely one piece, high cut on the leg. It's so much better to wear something you feel confident in, then you can forget about what you're wearing and have fun.

I've just bought the m and s tummy sucking tankini in fuschia that Lisa Snowdon is wearing on the adverts. Is FAB and makes my flabby tummy look a bit more bearable

I've bought the M&S costume but they are completely sold out (since the advert!! which I didn't see anyway). They do have it now in navy and black and agree with shopping that it's great.

this one piece is nice. Has a halter neck and side ruching, great for those like me without much waist. I don't have it though, I just like it!
I am braving bikinis this year, but the other one piece I am coveting is this one from White Co. Does anyone have it? I think it looks quite sexy for a one piece.
