Help! I've been invited on a girls' night out on Saturday and in the words of the great man, I haven't got a stitch to wear.

What does one wear for night out?

It's a sad indictment on my life that I don't know Blush. I have office clothes, office party clothes and jeans (scruffy not smart).

I can get to a Next and a New Look today. I am tall. What should I be wearing? Don't really want to wear heels as I'm already a lot taller than everyone else and I won't be able to hear the conversation.

Help me oh wise ones.

Im not a lover of the jeans and sprakly sandals, I think it can be quite ageing (sorry : ( )

I would suggest nice black 7/8 trousers in a dressy fabric, I have these they were a bargain at £28, very dressy with a top and heels, but also lovely with flat shoes/sandals and a more casual top.

If you dont like high heels, Next have gorgeous kitten heels which are very on trend.

Maybe this?

meltedchocolate · 20/05/2011 11:02

love this too I'm talking the whole outfits.

I second kitten heels :)

Some nice suggestions there. I like the trousers, might look put for those. All trousers are 7/8 on me though!

Grr, now I really want that silver top. I've only just payed off my Next account though...

My shopping trip was a disaster. I didn't suit 80's clothes in the 80s so I'm certainly not going to now.

I ended up in rolled up chinos, ballet pumps and a sort of see-through top over a vest. I probably looked like an old fogey.
