I am looking for some shoes to see me through summer - lots of walking with toddler, baby/pram and dogs but not particularly hilly/off road (streets, shops and flat fields). I have exceptionally ugly toes(!) so am inclined to avoid showing them, though am a bit tempted by Fit Flops - any good? Also looked at havianas espadrille style shoes but do they look very unattractive on (only seen them on-line)?. I like flat, comfy shoes to go with shorts and jeans mainly, preferably quite fashionable. Any ideas very gratefully received, will be back tomorrow. TIA!

Apparently, and I don't have these and can't suss the link thing, but Clarks have a retro sandal in black and same in tan that look very comfy. I'd wear with shorts or skirt and yes, I had something similar when I was about 10 but, hey, they flew out of our local shop so, people are wearing 'em!

Have a look.

I really like sporty style pumps & if you don't like your toes & do a lot of walking would be ideal
these from Clarks

or more funky & less sporty
from debenhams

These hush puppies are good, very soft leather and comfortable for walking. They aren't as flat as they look, a good thing!

I love all those, thanks. I couldn't carry off retro sandals, I would just look as if I was wearing my old school sandals! Thanks all, i am going to check out the Clarks pumps first...
