These seem to be everywhere and I've tried loads on but I feel like they're a funny shape and give me a huge arse. Is that what we're supposed to look like? I bought these but can't work out if they look right on me or not. Anyone else got this problem? Do I just accept that they're a funny shape??

THEY'RE supposed to look like - not we're.

truly the miss Selfridge pair look unflattering at the front, let alone the back.

all those bulging darts at the waistline toemphasise a bulging belly
badly set in zip to show off the camel toe
weird little cuffs which will drop down if not stiticehed in

and a

huge baggy saggy elephant arsed reatrr

check these out instead

chinos are clean & simple looking to me

Uniqlo.

Aworryingtrend · 20/05/2011 09:56

They do not look they would be very flattering- those tucks ont he websitewould make my tum look enormous, and it doesn't need any extra help!

Have you tried ones without pockets on the back for arse-minimalisation?

celticlassie · 20/05/2011 15:52

The thing is - I don't have a huge arse. And have seen others wearing trousers in this style that just seem to have too much fabric around the waist / arse area and make them look like they have huge arses. So wasn't sure if that was what they were supposed to look like. IYKWIM?

I think these are going back.

I like the Uniqlo ones but they come in a 33in leg as standard which is way too long for me, too long even to roll up.

those ones you linked too are v fussy. I like FCUK ones

But also have plainer new look ones

Meggles76 · 20/05/2011 19:44

I have a similar pair from Next but they have a plain waist band. Have worn them far more than I thought I would - def give a different pair a go
