for an all day wedding? Flip flops just aren't right but I am not sure what to wear.

What about some fancy wedges? Or Roman sandals? High heels look silly and as you rightly say flip flops are too casual.

MissFoodie · 20/05/2011 11:42

def flats - either ballerinas or sandals, depends on the dress and the weather!

I wear pumps with mine

vjg13 · 20/05/2011 12:17

I think pretty flat sandals look good but would also try wedges and see how it looks.

steamedtreaclesponge · 20/05/2011 12:31

Wedges look fab with maxi dresses. Or jewelled sandals, if you'd rather be more comfortable!

gregssausageroll · 20/05/2011 13:35

Will look at wedges although don't remember seeing anything smarter and also pumps/sandals and see how I go.

Thank you.

gregssausageroll · 20/05/2011 13:49

too casual for a wedding I think but I will have a look.

I wear gladiators with mine, but obviously not for a wedding. I would go with jewelled sandals, although not my thing.

prolificwillybreeder · 20/05/2011 14:28

I will be wearing gold sandals with mine

brookeslay · 20/05/2011 14:30

I wore pewter roman flats little encrusted gems so glinty it went down well.

apple99 · 20/05/2011 15:12

Agree with everyone else, flats are best, jewelled for dressy occasions and glad's for daywear. If you want the heel height then wedges also look nice but def not heels.

sue52 · 20/05/2011 16:37

Unless you are tall, go for wedgies.

Pinkjenny · 20/05/2011 16:39

Ballerina pumps with mine.

Mumelie · 20/05/2011 17:13

What about a low wedge jewelled sandal like this:

I bought some pewter roman ones with low wedges from Next a few years ago and they look great with a mai dress.

MrsMc82 · 20/05/2011 19:30

Always wedges or flat sandals, ballerinas look a bit odd to me and I think anyone who wears heels with them ends up looking cheap

JemimaMop · 20/05/2011 19:34

I wear these with my maxi, but they probably aren't smart enough for a posh wedding (I will be wearing them to a less formal wedding next month though).

gregssausageroll · 21/05/2011 10:54

Thanks everyone. Will have to go shopping and see.
