So tempted - have seen this discounted to £525. Have wanted a Mulberry for ages but this is double what I normally would spend. I do have £250 birthday money though..... but need new summer wardrobe, didn't buy much last year as was pregnant.
Oh what to do....? I did have palpitations when I saw it!

where did you see? i'd want to check the website to ensure not a fake.

netbook · 19/05/2011 18:46

Sorry, but if they are selling it as a new bag then there is a good chance it is fake as Mulberry aren't making the Roxanne anymore.

Rosemallow · 19/05/2011 18:55

Phew! Mis-saw this thread and thought it was baby names! Thank goodness for that! Grin

madammecholet · 19/05/2011 19:01

Maybe its discounted because its second hand?

NewChoos · 19/05/2011 19:06

It was in the Mulberry outlet shop :) So need to decide pretty quickly!

The outlets are indeed selling them for £525 down from £750 at the mo. Rumours are that the style will return to the mainstream line at some point. I hope so! It is a fabulous bag. Will last until the end of time. I LOVE mine. Always feel the bees knees when I carry it. Go for it!

netbook · 19/05/2011 20:38

If it's in a Mulberry outlet shop go for it!

goodegg · 19/05/2011 21:10

Go for it - the resale value is excellent for Mulberry so if you change your mind you won't lose much dough. Fab bag!

QueenLaQueefer · 19/05/2011 21:12

Oh, buy it.

The roxanne is my ideal bag. I'm sure it would be The One.

JohnniesBitch · 19/05/2011 21:16

Mymulberry roxanne is my favourite all time bag. I've had mine for several years and used it lots. It gets better with age so yes for a brand new genuine one and if I could afford the extra money to put to it I would buy it.

Camerondiazepam · 19/05/2011 21:18

Rosemallow me too, was almost disappointed to see it in S n B!

NewChoos · 20/05/2011 13:04

Had a DS and so had to pick a different name :o

Discussed with DH last night when he got in from work and he thinks I deserve it :)
Really really want it but feel a bit guilty at such frivolous spending (must be my hormones, keep crying at unicef add on tv and donating money).

Will mull (sorry!) it over today. DH has said we can go and get it tonight if I want.
Sorry re typing, got snuggly (over tired) baby on lap!

Go, go go! Which colour do you think you want?

NewChoos · 20/05/2011 13:25

The bag I saw was mid brown, if (!) I go tonight, will check colours, but either the dark or mid brown - not sure of official names.
Am wondering re amount of stock -need to stop procrastinating (although you ladies aren't holding me back)!!

Oak is the mid brown colour and Chocolate is the name for the dark brown one. Both are lovely. Be aware that you will have to be more careful with the oak roxy if you go for it. Oak can stain from the rain and any other liquid spills. You can spray it with waterstop spray, that will help protect but won't 100% stop it happening, iykwim. If you want a stress free bag then the choc roxy will be far easier to own and keep looking in tip top condition. A choc roxy will go anywhere with no problems. That said, I think the oak looks slightly nicer - but it would be a brave woman who would stride out into the pouring rain with one on her arm! Grin

You DH sounds rather fabulous as well!
