I recently started a thread on this very issue.

Do not get fitted at M&S.

Go to the most reputable place you can find - follow recommendations of your most trusted, well-bra-ed friends. Absolutely sod the cost. It is soooooooooooo worth it.

Once you have found a style/make/design that suits you, search online for a bargain. I used Uplifted Lingerie - they were great.

If you have a factory shop near you then go there. I did. I actually cried. The woman was with me for 2 hours. I tried on so many bras and she ran around like a loonie.

She also told me off for saying "Putting on my bra".

She told me that you "dress yourself into a bra" and made me practise this over and over again. It really makes a difference.

My clothes look so much better and my posture is much improved.

Go on, OP - it'll transform you.

Definitely don't go near M&S. If you have 4 boobs, you've got to be bigger than an F/G and prob need to go down a back size or 2. John lewis is good, or Bravissimo.

HaughtyChuckle · 19/05/2011 19:02

yeah I've had bad experiences with m & s the women are nice enough but sizes differ from on to the next, John Lewis ill try first :)

Let us know what size you turn out to be!!

AnyFucker · 19/05/2011 21:12

you probably need a bigger cup size and a smaller back size

get fitted properly

AnyFucker · 19/05/2011 21:13

not really on the same "scale" here Wink but for years I wore a 34b and should have been wearing a 32d

ellangirl · 19/05/2011 21:18

As a teenager I wore a 36C I think. I am really a 30GG Shock My mother had no boobs at all so never thought to get me properly fitted...

Northernlurker · 22/05/2011 16:02

I went to Bravissimo last year. I was wearing a 42G. Am now in a 38H. Makes a LOT of difference but you need to get the cut right too for the fuller boob. this is the one I find v good. I have it in black, red, white, purple and blue. Quite like the spearmint colour that's out at the minute as well.....

Scaredycat3000 · 22/05/2011 20:17

Double boobs is a classic to smaller cup sign. Most people wear the back to big, it should be straight round your rib cage , no arching up the back. So yes get the back to fit then go up as many cup sizes as you need until you fit!

sprinkles77 · 22/05/2011 20:24

get fitted at rigby and peller or bravissimo. failing that John lewis are Ok, but not brilliant. If i were you, I'd go to here for some help. I'd go down at least 1 back size and up at least 1 cup size. So if you are wearing 36 G, try 34 H and J, 32 J and JJ. Then order lots of stuff from bravissimo in lots of sizes and styles, then send back what doesn't fit (they're used to this). While trying stuff on have their fit guide in front of you. I suspect that you need to look for styles that are either balconette or full cup if you are a G cup, though a very well fitting plunge might be OK. I'm only an E cup but plunge styles do not suit my shape. Remember differnt brands and styles fit differently, darker colours come up slightly smaller due to the effect of the dye on the fabric, and try everything on with a clingy top over it to check the shape is ok. Wear it for a few minutes to check that it's comfortable. Panache and Fantasie come up a little bigger than Freya. this is the best bra ever for me: prettier than most of the boulder holders, supportive, smooth enough for clingy clothes and a bit of cleavage but nothing excessive. Comes in fab colours and washes well. Once you have found what works for you, search the internet to get it cheaper com this is a good site.

sprinkles77 · 22/05/2011 20:26

sorry, cheap website link here

Northernlurker · 22/05/2011 20:27

Sprinkles - that's the bra I have as well and linked to lower in the thread! Great minds (and bosoms) Grin

HaughtyChuckle · 23/05/2011 00:19
