Where to sell jewellery?

I have my old engagement ring, that I no longer want and also a watch that I'd like to sell, but have no idea where and how I'd go about it?

Does anyone know who I'd approach?

I saw something on the hsamuel website... have never used it myself though...

I am always wary, but dont know if a major company would be dishonest?

It's always worth looking on ebay to see if similar items are sold. Only sell through paypal and to UK buyers. You can put on a decent reserve as well.

I have always sold my jewellery through an auction house. I have found that jewellers offer very low prices.

It's not gold.
The ring is platinum and diamond, and the watch is pretty much this but 15 years old.
Looks brand new though and needs a new battery.

Urgh, that looked like stealth boasting. It's not, honest.
I just want to sell this stuff and need to know the best place to do it.
