Have tried Moroccanoil... not doing a great deal.

What else would you recommend?

I bought Emu oil natural shampoo and conditioner from this company and frankly wasn't expecting much but it is making a real difference in strength and shininess.

HazeltheMcWitch · 19/05/2011 13:21

Wash it every day, use loads of conditioner, and blow dry down the hair shaft.

mittenkitten007 · 19/05/2011 13:28

BTW since I began using their shampoo and conditioner not only is my hair shinier and thicker looking but I am losing far fewer hairs in the shower than I was before!

Its made from Emus?

It is indeed Biscuitbreaker - 3. Where does the oil come from?
Our oil comes from free-range Australian Emus which are fed on a healthy diet of natural grain (with no additives or hormones) and pasture. The oil is refined from the large pad of fat which is found on the Emus? back. Nature supplied the Emus with this fat to protect them from the hot Australian sun, to enable a quick healing after fighting with other Emus and for sustenance during their long nesting time.
A complex refinement process ensures that all bacteria, protein and particulate matter are removed from the raw oil.

Yum, oil from the fat on an emu's back Shock!!

then again argan oil is traditionally harvested from goat poo.

I'd say eat healthily, it really shows in hair. Oily fish also helps for glossy hair.

Biscuitbreaker · 19/05/2011 23:45

I think the eating healthily is the key thing. Have just had a baby and it is all falling out too. Hair confidence dive.

Rinse it properly. As in, for a minimum of two minutes.

crazybutterflylady · 20/05/2011 08:49

this is fabulous - you only really need to use once a week.

mittenkitten007 · 20/05/2011 10:56

If you live in a hard-water area you may find a filter showerhead also makes a big difference. We have this one.

meltedchocolate · 20/05/2011 11:07

For extra shiney hair when I am going out I just use spray shine stuff. Charles Worthington SHINE stuff atm. Shiney, not greasy, use sparingly. It's just a one day hairdo thing though. Agree that in general though eating well is the key.

My friend swears by the Kerastase Elikir stuff, I'm using up my Moroccan Oil and then switching to that one I think, although MO seems to be helping a bit.
