Personal shopper at John Lewis or Debenhams?

Decided that I need clothes as after having two children I have no idea what shape I am and what suits me etc so thinking of going down the personal shopper route. Anyone been to either of these...worried that John Lewis clothes are v expensive?

yes .. to the debenhams one

they don't cost you a penny and are fabulous

they make no commission on the clothes you buy as they have a salary so they don't push you into buying stuff, they give you objective yet pleasant advice and they run round the stores bringing you clothes leaving you with a magazine and coffee

I fail to see the downside of personal shopping tbh and wonder why everyone doesn't do it

I buy lots of clothes out of debenhams, and could be tempted, but I would feel so self conscious (sp).

Know two people who have done John Lewis and they looked fab. Both recommended it. Think it depends where you are as another friend did Debenhams and hated it. Bought nothing. Selfridges supposed to be excellent.

OMG I'm going to do this.
Desperately need a revamp and have no energy or time with two children.

Twig, what did you buy? Did you get into stuff you wouldn't normally have gone for??

Selfridges is good, but IME, you have to book pretty far in advance as it's such an "in demand" service.
