I am 34 and have never worn heels - help!

I've just bought the dress on my profile for a wedding in 3 weeks. It's not my normal style (nothing is if jeans are not involved) but when I put it on I felt like a million dollars and decided that it was definitely the one.

The dilemma now is what on earth do I wear on my feet? I've never worn heels before and DS's age 3&4 will also be at the wedding, so the shoes have to be practical in terms of walking and not making a tit of myself by falling over.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

Can't see your profile??

Hush Puppies have got some surprisingly nice low heels at the moment - there are quite a few nice low courts around. It doesn't have to be a move from flats to skyscrapers - plenty of middle ground. Or there are some nice wedges which feel a bit less precarious.

Sorry, had it set as private Blush

would these work with the dress? They come in navy too. They are v v lovely and comfy, I never wear heels myself and I had them on all day and evening at a wedding recently.

Hmm - not sure why the link didn't work

the ones I am talking about are the Folly Angular mid court, 2nd row

They are much nicer in RL than in the picture

Oooh gorgeous dress!

First of all I love these but suspect they're too high??

Pink Dune

Monsoon Kitten heels

ASOS purple court

Another Dune pair

Love these from Faith

Any of those any good?

I have short, not very slim legs which are probably the same creamy white colour in the dress. I'm a size 10, but very squidgy with bingo wings. I have a cream shrug/bolero type thing and am thinking of a cream hat. Not sure if I should have cream or blue shoes - really can't do the fuschia pink.

I really am the last person on earth that should be wearing such a beautiful dress. Fat Face and White Stuff are my second homes Blush

Lol, lots of pink suggestions, they are all lovely shoes, but just not 'me' iykwm? Although to be fair, neither is the dress so perhaps I shall have to succumb to the wise suggestions of mn.

The dress is Vera Mont, I have tried everywhere to find it online but I've had no success, it's called Fleur.
