I've just bought this dress to wear for an evening wedding reception and then again for a christening. Is it ok for those occasions? It says workwear on the description! This is the third dress I've bought and I actually quite like this one though its not what I'd normally go for. Please tell me its ok. I'm planning on wearing it with tan wedges and chunky jewellery.

and I'd never wear it for work. Its too short.

It's really nice. I think it would be fine for a christening and a reception.

Looks very nice, will need accessorising like you say. I would wear it for work, but then I am 5'3 so would probably not be too short, above the knee is my most flattering length

Far too nice for work. It's a GREAT dress!

Agree with FarSide. Is a gorgeous dress and unless you are professional wedding or party guest it is far too lovely for workplace Grin

Love it! Yes will be fantastic for those occasions, especially with the tan accessories.

Thanks everyone. I am relieved as I cannot face any more shopping.

Tan wedges will be great but I wouldn't wear a necklace- Big bangle (as they say...Grin)

snowmummy · 19/05/2011 12:36

I was planning on no necklace Flakes, because I don't have one that goes with it! I bought a chunky bangle and ring to wear though.

I think the reason it's classified as workwear is because it's cotton, rather than silk or traditional drapy evening fabrics.

Wear to work?! Not at the sweaty engineering company I work for - they'd laugh their socks off!
