Myself, DH and DD (1) are having family photshoot next week and I have no idea what to wear. I am thinking smart casual but don't want too look too dressy. Really at a loss on this one as don't want to look too formal or causal - any ideas?

When we had one done a few years ago, we were advised to take a change of clothing for everyone, then perhaps you could have one slightly smarter option and one more relaxed.
I'm sure all good studios should be able to deal with a change mid way through the shoot.

We had a family photoshoot today and were advised to go in white tops and jeans or black tops and jeans so the focus is on your faces rather than the clothes.
We all wore white - dh short sleeved linen shirt, me white Tagore with rose detail at neckline,DS rugby style top with roll up arms and DD embroidery anglaise.
Was a mission trying to find plain white though!!
We emerged £1500 lighter (not including new clothes!!)

Depending on your colourings browns may look good and soften your face or soft pink tones for very faired skin tones etc.

What type of skin tone and hair colouring have you been blessed with?

Thanks! We are all fair....although have no jeans - i think will take 2 sets (will need for DD anyway!) and see what they say!
