YSL Rive Gauche - SHOCKER :-o

tried some today, a real blast from the past, used to really like this perfume

I thought, this smells a bit funny, not like RG

the blighters have reformulated it

does anyone know if this is common practice?
I mean, is some donkey going to mess around with Anais Anais & make it smell like air freshener?

It is common practice, a lot of ingredients in older perfumes are no longer allowed to be used under EU regulations. I still wear the new rive gauche but it's a shadow of its former self.

That was the first perfume dh bought me - 20 odd years ago!

yes, it's weak & weedy now in comparison
it's like an 'Impulse' knock off

Hmmm....I used to LOVE Anais Anais.

Now, on me, it DOES smell like air freshener. Really overpowering like the ones that plug into the wall.
