I knew it would be these. I tried them on in navy recently - I have wide feet and they were really comfortable. A bit too £££ for me at the moment though.

I don't think they are particularly granny-ish although not very chic either it muct be said.

ggirl · 16/05/2011 13:46

but i want medium comfy heels
for everyday
not fucking 4 inch new look crap

I had jeans on with them and you could only see the front and thought they looked fine.

Having wide, peculiarly shaped feet has cause me to lower my standards I think.

ggirl · 16/05/2011 13:52

could see whole shoe with the hotpant outfit i was wearing

I'd never heard of Gabor til recently. I too have been looking for medium heel comfy sandals and so started searching the net. Found quite a few pairs by Gabor that I liked. I am nearly 41 and like to consider meself 'trendy' but know what you mean about the New Look 4 inch crap. I've got so many pairs of shoes that look great but are so fecking uncomfortable! As eugene said, your option aren't that grannyish at all and I'm also a firm believer that it depends what you're wearing with them that makes them chic or not!

Pussinflatboots · 16/05/2011 16:25

I have some gabor boots - comfy, great quality leather and even look good. Embrace your inner Gabor!

moragbellingham · 16/05/2011 16:31

Navy, you say, hmmmmmmSmile

tethersend · 16/05/2011 19:16

I'm having a granny shoe moment too, but am being mercilessly mocked on my thread Grin

BelovedCunt · 16/05/2011 19:18

embrace your inner foot glove

ChuckYouFarlie · 16/05/2011 19:47

Oh ggirl

That's fine, but if you really feel like buying your clothes from the back pages of the Sunday Telegraph magazine, you need to change your name.

gmatron perhaps?

Don't get me wrong, there's good Gabor out there... but don't ask us to approve.

ChuckYouFarlie · 16/05/2011 20:17

sorry, that sounded mean... Smile go for them if you like them, but it felt like you wanted to be ushered away from the Gabor tent and into the shoes-you-arent'-embarrassed-about tent.

katykoo · 17/05/2011 11:57

I saw your shoes Tethers, nothing wrong with them. Stay on the Gabor thread! Did you find some ? you're normally so good at sourcing stuff for others!

BitOfFun · 17/05/2011 12:01

They're alright. Pricey though.

BitOfFun · 17/05/2011 12:05

These come in navy and are cheaper. I am considering them for a city break- I know it will be hot, and I want to sightsee without blisters and corns. If that makes me a granny, so be it.

ggirl · 17/05/2011 12:21

those are almost identical bof
i need them wide though
must hunt out the ones tethers was on about

I'll join you. I have the feet of a hobbit. I havent tried them on, but they looked wide when I saw them in store.

wendihouse22 · 17/05/2011 14:12

No. Please don't do it.

There must be something else out there?
