Maxi dresses for tall folk

want to buy a casual summer maxi but am 5'11 and don't want it to flap around ankles. Which shops are best for me? Or do I stick to the 'tall' section of shops? Thanks, style gurus. Oh, and if you can find one that will go with gold glads, that' be even better .

I can't help here but I am interested in your replies- Having a maxi dress that flaps around the ankles is on of my pet hates!

Ooh I just purchased this a couple of weeks ago and it fits like a dream. Am also 5 ft 11 and this actually touches the floor with flats. Also super flattering as I have hips!

Only thing is that it is quite low cut so you need to chose your bra carefully.

I tried on a Miss Sixty maxi the other day and it was really long, I'm 5ft 7 and it was dragging on the floor even when I put my heels on. It was a lovely dress but far too long for me, would probably be an ideal length for you though.

I've got one from online which is fab - I am also 5'11" and it is truly Maxi on me (others I'd tried were ankle flapping not good). I got the circle maxi one - and it was only about £21 too as there was an offer code at the time (check their blog), bargain!!

H+M maxis are very long (I am 5ft 10)

they are very casual though (more beachy, than weddingy IYSWIM)
