It's my birthday night out this week and to celebrate losing 1.5 stones I'm buying meself a new frock!

Which of these 2 colours will look best on a curvy size 12 brunette with lightly tanned Irish complexion and blue eyes??

Option 1-beige

or

Option 2 - black?

What say ye Oh Wise Ones?! Grin

I think the beige Bunny. The black imo doesn't go with the floralness of the dress.

Well done on losing 1.5 stones. How did you do it?

BunnyLebowski · 15/05/2011 20:00

Thanks GettinTrimmer Grin

Yeah I'm leaning towards the beige too but have never owned anything in that colour before as I always thought it would wash me out. I think the floral pattern might stop that happening though? Going to wear with some lovely pinky/red t-bar heels I got today!

I started low-carbing on 1st April and it's changed my life! Feel amazing and only a stone to go to get to my all time fighting weight!

I prefer the black

GettinTrimmer · 15/05/2011 20:05

Yes, I would normally avoid beige too being olivey skinned, but the laciness of the dress looks better in beige. Are you ordering or trying on in Dorothy P?

One of the girls on the weight loss thread I'm on is doing low carb and she's had great results on the scales.

7to25 · 15/05/2011 20:05

I also prefer the black. the beige colour might be too like your skin tone and the black "empire" band looks very flattering. Also think the black is a bit younger.

Pinner35 · 15/05/2011 20:07

I prefer it in black....

dustwhatdust · 15/05/2011 20:11

black is much nicer i think !

pink4ever · 15/05/2011 20:11

I prefer the black but think you should try them both on as with your colouring the beige might look better.

mylovelymonster · 15/05/2011 20:16

I think cobalt would be better

GettinTrimmer · 15/05/2011 20:17

Yes I was thinking that too pink, if ordering over the internet they may let you order both then reimburse for the one that you don't want.

bigTillyMint · 15/05/2011 20:17

I prefer the beige - you will look fab!

BunnyLebowski · 15/05/2011 20:19

Oh god no that cobalt one is not me at all. Cheers for the suggestion though.

They don't have the dress in my local DP's as it's from a concession brand.

The black is definitely the safer choice - I know it would look good whereas there is a risk with the beige one. Hmmmm.

The black is much nicer. Plus your colouring is very like mine and beige looks shit on me Grin

Congrats on the weight loss, you'll have flirty salesmen flocking to your door now Wink

BunnyLebowski · 15/05/2011 20:23

Shock Grin aStar - you remember that thread??! He was a right chancer! Still it's nice to have my mojo back Grin

I'm now 70/30 in favour of the black.

One more question - I'm getting the M/L aren't I? Am guessin the S/M is a 8-10 and the M/L a 12-14?

OP posts:
mylovelymonster · 15/05/2011 20:28

sorry - had to rush off Smile

As I was saying, the other dress looks a bit dull & cheap (apologies). I feel the blue would be more striking - a great foil for glossy brunette do and will accentuate the blueness in your eyes. A knockout with curves, and a celebration of the 'look at me, I feel & look gorgeous' new you Grin

mylovelymonster · 15/05/2011 20:30

Oops cross-posting!!
No probs. Congratulations anyway!

ballstoit · 15/05/2011 20:32

I prefer the beige. Think it has more options to wear day or night and black can be quite draining on me (freckly and lightly tanned).

Yes, the M/L, hate that way of sizing Angry.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 15/05/2011 20:35

Beige definitely !

prolificwillybreeder · 15/05/2011 21:06

I would get M-L in the black.
Fab dress :)
Congratulations on your weight loss I'll be doing that after I give birth!

Evizza · 16/05/2011 00:05

Don't like the beige at all...but LOVE the black !! It would really suit you imo Smile
