URGENT! Can I wear this dress with opaque tights?

I have this dress with black opaque tights and black shoes?

I was planning on wearing it this evening to a restaurant with wedges and no tights but the weather isn't as nice as I hoped!

I've other dresses but they'll feel a bit 'worky' for me to wear out.

I'd use more sheer tights rather than opaques.

BitOfFun · 14/05/2011 13:28

That sounds fine. What's next on my to do list? Ah yes, world peace...

Sorry, I meant with lighter shoes! Grin

Thanks all - I'll try it with black and black and also have a look with some other shoes.

I have some grey patent but think I'll feel a bit chilly in sheer tights - know it's psychological as I can't imagine there's much difference in warmth!

...grey patent shoes not tights!

Yes yes yes, of course you can, the black is picked up in the dress print.
I have this dress and also wear it with White Stuff grey lacey tights and black peep toe wedges (the wedge is a lighter colour).
Good luck, hope it looks fab.

No to black tights - I know it's cold but black opaques and sunshine are just all wrong imho.

Have you got any grey tights or nude fishnets or even bright pink if your legs are up to them? Personally I'd go with nude ones and the grey (not black) shoes - but lots of people on here hate them.

polyhymnia · 14/05/2011 14:22

Grey patent shoes, yes but not nude tights. Opaques would be better - probably black.

KristinaM · 14/05/2011 14:55

I would wear the grey patent shoes and grey or other colour lacy tights if you won't go tight less

Not black shoes and black opaques, too wintery IMO. Sorry

Unless you are going to dinner with your gran, because she will worry about the cold. Or you are hoping to pull, because men can be funny about "weird" tights

So above advice only applies if you are going with your mates or your gay BF and want to look on trend

And stop sucking up to bitoffun, her head is big enough already Wink

Nice dress! Whatever you wear with it, have fun.
