decent but cheap jeans - where to look?

i'm now 3 weeks post partum and another hungry baby has meant the baby weight has shifted Grin, leaving me with a squidgy mummy tummy that i expect a spot of exercise will shift.

last time i had a pair of next 'sexy slim' leg jeans. they were fine till i lost the tummy and then they slid down like mad. i have no desire to share my bum crack with the world and i think my hips are wider than before so they're not quite right.

where shall i look for decent (not bum sliders) and cheap jeans?
i also need to get a short leg length as i've got tiddly legs and have no time/ energy for turning them up anymore.

TIA! :)

Marking place.

V interested to see what the S&B ladies come up with.

LooloosMummy · 14/05/2011 11:00

i would have said next as they have so many different styles and leg lengths thats where i get mine from, but as you said you've tried next i'm not very helpful! maybe you could try a belt to stop them sliding or try a different style with a higher waist?

soppypreggyloon · 14/05/2011 11:03

i'm not keen on next quality now either. [fussy cow emoticon] :)
i bought allegedly the same again and they bagged at knee and slid even worse than first pair.

belts dont seem to help with bum crack issue and high waists make me feel cut in half when i sit down IYSWIM.

Second the New Look vote - great value and they come in several lengths.

goinnowhere · 14/05/2011 19:45

Third New Look. They have plenty of stretch in too, so they are comfy and don't go baggy.

mummissinghermind · 14/05/2011 19:49

Have you got a TK MAX near you? i always pick up Earl jeans, dark denim and they have a touch of 'give' really flattering, about 15 quid.

Iggly · 14/05/2011 19:52

I second uniqlo. I don't buy jeans from anywhere else. They last me for ages and only cost £20-£30. They fit really well, wash well and great colour. If they have a sale on, can get a decent pair for £15.

I've tried next, new look, topshop, DP. All rubbish Grin

plipplops · 14/05/2011 19:54

I'd go Gap, they come in loads of lengths and I think they're really good quality. Also the often have loads on sale, just after DD2 I bought some which were way too long (with a plan to take them up) for about £10 just to get some new jeans that would fit...

I 4th the New Look £9.99 ones - they are a really good fit, and at that price they won't break the bank. For "good" jeans, I've got lovely Gap ones but also really rate the H&M jeans too.
