What do you think of these shoes?

I've been looking for comfortable but not flat, smart everyday work shoes. These fit that bill, BUT i almost felt tearful when I looked down at them and remembered just 5 years ago I had a wardrobe full of beautiful, impractical, stylish shoes and these in compasion seem clumpy and ugly. 5 years ago I had no dcs, a flashy job and spare cash though!

Are they ok or should I return them?

Can I ask how old are you, and whats your job?

You have my sympothy I too had lovely shoes but my solution is I keep really impractical hidden platform massive heeled shoes at work (I cycle or run in so dont need to walk that far in them).

Here are a few ore ideas.

Bit funkier

slight more expensive

High wedges

Much nicer in real life

All of these are from New Look who have been my saviour in post children shoes - They are cheap last well and I can keep changing me look guilt free.

They are not fabulous are they?

And they dont make your heart flutter.

But they do look comfy and they might look nice on.

God just read that back, just excuse the spelling and grammer I wouldnt mind if Id been drinking

Just looked at them again,. they're sodding awful!

I'm 32. But quite fat and frumpy at the mo really - they shoes I'm currently wearing to work are much worse - I initially thought these were a step up! I struggle to walk in heels these days. I work in a an office but I walk around quite a large site so I am actually on my feet quite a bit. The scallaped (sp?) wedges from New Look look really nice and the high wedges look much nicer than the ones I bought too - need to try them on.

Thanks

As im always telling DH shoes are essential (yes 80 pairs FFS) They never make you feel fat and frumpy.

BTW I always find new look comfy and wedges are easy to walk in.

I forgot Ive got a 20% New Look discount use cose NLMAGS11 between 27-29th May (online) or in store 5th may - 5th June - it was in a little catalogue inside Closer magazine.

Can't lie ... they're not exactly beautiful.

These are a fiver more expensive, and probably less comfortable, BUT are awesome in RL and are actually very easy to walk about in (I tried them on). I could imagine doing general office work and making a few tube journeys in them:

Or if wedges are easier for you these might be a good summer work shoe:

I try never to buy something unless I love it and never buy something because "it'll do". If you are feeling fat and frumpy a nice pair of shoes are essential! They'll make you feel a lot more glam. The New Look selections are way way better.

What about a peeptoe or sandal for work for the summer?
