Shoes and hat to match or 'clash' with dress?

I've bought this dress for a wedding next month. I don't want to wear black shoes with it as I think it'll look a bit boring but question is do I try to get something to match one of the colours or something completely different? I need shoes (high heels preferably), a bag and maybe a hat. Budget about £200. Would purple be too crazy?

yes to purple shoes, but don't match your hat or bag to your shoes, very pedestrian. black hat purple shoes

Oooooo, I don't know. I know all this clashing malarkey is on trend but I just think purple shoes will look wrong and cheapen the dress (just mho).

Personally, I would go for something like:

Thanks both.
Just had a try on of a pair of tan shoes I have with it and not sure they're quite right. Think I'll have to persuade DH to get home on time one day next week so I can go and spend some time in a shoe department somewhere. Oh the chore Smile

Love the dress, yes to purple shoes. I'd would go for dusky purple, rather than a bright pinky purple.
