Sorry if this has been done already but was too excited to check threads properly Blush

oh bugger, just realised the link has my referral details on it. If you would rather go direct without using my link it is on Living Social Edinburgh today's deal. Sorry

wow thanks.

scotsgirl23 · 12/05/2011 18:48

You must be local heymammy! I posted this one up earlier!

heymammy · 12/05/2011 18:57

ah, I'm over in the west scotsgirl but fortunately this deal was linked on the glasgow deals today as well Grin

'Tis free P&P as well, and I think it's valid until November so don't have to buy more summer stuff

I'm interested but rather reluctant to put all my credit card details into a site about which I only heard today.

However, if one wanted to scam mumsnetters, a bargain Boden voucher would be the way to go! [paranoid]

LovelyDaffs · 12/05/2011 22:05

I've used living social loads, they are legit. Why not google them if you need reassurance.

scotsgirl23 · 12/05/2011 22:07

I've used living social before too - it's a genuine site.

Bucharest · 13/05/2011 08:32

I don't understand
What am I paying for? It costs £11 but you get £25? Or you get £11? Or you get £11 off?

kitkatya · 13/05/2011 08:46

I think if they are doing this then we might be due for a good offer anyway. There's nothing I would get after my last lot of sale stuff

heymammy · 13/05/2011 10:48

Bucharest, you are basically buying a £25 online gift voucher for £11. You are allowed to buy 1 voucher for yourself but can buy up to 3 more to gift to others so I've basically gifted one each to my mum, my partner and my MIL Wink.

The site is just like Groupon so completely legit. I think the voucher is valid until November so I'm saving mine for the Aut/Win stuff Smile.

Thank you so much, heymammy, I was just thinking how to kit out the DC for an upcoming wedding ...
Just signed up and bought vouchers for me and "gifts" - how does it work, do you see the vouchers in your account or are they emailed to you?

Bucharest · 13/05/2011 16:15

Oh righty!
Thank you!

MUMoo7 · 13/05/2011 16:20

Oh, sorry, just read the instructions - could not concentrate with DD pestering me for ice-cream.

Fimbo · 13/05/2011 16:23

Don't you recommenders get one free though if you get 6 people to bite, hmmm?

heymammy · 13/05/2011 17:56

yes Fimbo, you're right. That's why I posted again to say about going direct to the deal instead of using the link. Posted very much in haste as didn't realise the deal was live for so long.

I did get one free so a big thanks to anyone who used my original link.

when the e-mail comes through there is a .pdf attachment with an online gift voucher code and a regular code for free p&p as well

I bought one and put down friends and family emails but, they dont get Boden (and they are right!!) so, Im sure none of them will buy.

I dont know how good a deal it is really if you only buy one as they often send £10 vouchers out and my friends who dont bite always give me theirs.

Thats a hint for you (I hope Johnnies not reading) if you introduce a friend on the website you get credit and, when your sensible mates dont use the catalogue, bingo they may give you their odd vouchers which you can use.

Although I dont suppose you are supposed to Smile

kitkatya · 14/05/2011 09:32

I wonder if you can use more than one code on one order?

CristinaTheAstonishing · 14/05/2011 11:19

So in effect you're getting half price but having to pay in advance and forcing your hand to buy something or else you'll lose your money altogether. You can see I don't get the attraction of these 'discount' things at all.

kitkatya · 14/05/2011 17:26

To be fair you can always find something to buy from there, even if you force yourself! Its only worth it if you buy two or three though because you would be hard pushed to find anything for £25
