I'm getting married next month and need everything sucking in lots, legs, tummy, bum, the works! DD will be 6 months & I'm still 2 stone heavier than I was before pregnancy and my belly was huge so lots of extra to somehow hide. I'm looking at the following:

playtex

miraclesuit

naomi & nicole

ANy thoughts on those or recommendations for something else?

i would go for spanx, they have staps that attach to your bra so it doesn't roll down.

this one

Spanx higher power - link below - are fab and half the price of the slimcognito - I'm not sure what the difference is apart from the strap. They don't have the straps but they just don't roll down. Unless you have a very long body then the top of them will actually sit under your bra

i have both spanx and the slim cognito don't have the big seam running down the front like the higher power do, which really shows under fitted clothes.

also the cognito ones are a bit more heavy duty in the holding bits in department whereas higher power are a bit like very tight tights and are more for everyday wear. slim cognito are more for special occasions.

Would judge it on the dress then - I suspect the slim cognito may be slightly less comfortable than the normal if they are even more heavy duty. If the top of the dress isn't ultra fitted you wouldn't see the seam ( I don't think I've ever seen mine!)

this dress so the seams shouldn't show. I think I'll get the higher power ones and try it with the tags still on and see how that goes. Thanks

They won't show through that I wouldn't think. Very pretty dress. Might be worth considering an underskirt too if you need more help to make it skim - chiffony dresses can be a little evil! (scotsgirl remembers photo taken of her ass walking down the aisle at wedding rehearsal in a chiffony dress and shudders)

Spanx for me - check out their own website - more choice - ships from the US though.

Lovely dress by the way - have fun and get something else to slip into to feel sexy for the wedding night. Sounds silly to some but I got married with a big fat tum after two kids and not enough weight loss to feel quite right. Word pretty shapewear which was comfy under the dress - comfy very important - you need to ENJOY!!!! And then later had some thirties glam style French knickers, bra, camisole silky stuff to slide in and out of. Wander about the bedroom with the confidence of Mae West and exude womanly magnetism!

I know this is a bit late to the party, but I’ve been rocking miraclesuit for years and they do wonders. I use high waisted shorts for a few weddings (post-baby too) and it did what I needed. Held everything in without making me feel like I couldn’t breathe. I liked that it smoothed out my lower belly and thighs without rolling down or cutting in weird
