nice flat or low heeled pumps for people with fat feet?

I love ballet pumps but find popular brands like french sole impossible to get my feet into uncomfortable and even after some wear my repetto shoes aren't that comfy tho they have stretched a bit to fit my feet now.

I am currently living in fitflops which has resulted in cracked soles, nice - always happens to my feet in summer because of flipflop wear no matter how much I moisturise and exfoliate. Would just like feet to feel pretty occasionally! I'm a size 39/40.

Your wish is my command. I too have wide feet and get my beautiful much commented on ballet pumps from the Simply Be catlogue/website. They are in there and come in EE or EEE widths and several colours including red, silver, black and white (plus more I can't remember), they are leather and even better they are about £30. I wear and wear and wear mine, basically everyday. I get them in a EE and they are quite snug but they "give" a bit after a couple of wears (they are so soft) and EEE are too wide. Give them a go and you won't look back I promise.

I treat myself to a proper pedicure at the start of the bare feet season and it's well worth it if you can afford it 'cos then you can keep your feet in decent shape yourself the rest of the time.

I have some Rocketdog Vera pumps which are very soft and comfortable - there are a couple of different styles, I have these ones: www.schuh.co.uk/womens-Brown-and-Black-Rocket-Dog-Vera-Leopard/1370469270/

I don't know if polka dot these count for you - I have incredibly fat feet and they are the nicest non-ortho-looking shoes I have found to fit in ages!

woo hoo! thanks for posting! am going to have a look at yr suggestions, but will be back to check on my thread.

note I'm already on my 2nd "spring" pedicure, am trying to keep up the filing and application of cream each night but it is a bore and I tend to get a bit obsessed. At least I have pretty toenails atm!

Well done on the pedi, am having my first on Friday. We have a great american nail bar, the only problem is that you sit in the shop window!

What about the wide fit ones at M&S/Clarks/New Look etc?

IhateSunday · 11/05/2011 20:30

another vote for Rocketdog at Schuh, I love them, and they are very reasonably priced, around £30..

Evans do shoes especially for fat feet I have been told.

Do have a look at Simply Be, they do lots of beautiful shoes in width fittings, a god send for those of us with fat feet! and they are very reasonably priced.

Duoboots also have 'normal' shoes which you can order by width.
Haven't ever used them myself, but have only heard good things about them so far!

I have elephantine feet and these are like lovely pretty gloves for my feet. I have the Segment ones currently, but thinking of buying some more as well. I can't recommend them enough.

Have you tried cracked heel cream for your feet btw? Flexitol is the brand name but boots and others do their own versions - this made a world of difference to my feet, and I am actually happy to expose them to the wider world now ;)
