Vertbaudet Delivery?

Is it usually very slow?

I got a catalogue thing in a baby magazine and decided to order some things. That was on 28th April and it still hasn't arrivedm, although I had an email last weekend saying it was ready for dispatch and when I go to order tracking on the website it says it has been packaged and is ready to go.

I thought it would be here by now (ages ago!) it's annoying!

Takes about a week ime, although not used them for a while.

I'd email them and ask for an eta, or does it say expected delivery times on their website?

MadameOvary · 11/05/2011 17:40

Vertbaudet are fucking shite, I dont order from them anymore after waiting months for something/things being out of stock/generally crapness.

Sorry, not helpful I know, but it might stop anyone else wasting their time!

Thanks, emailing is a good idea.

Disappointed to hear delivery could be a problem. There are some nice things on their website and I had planned to order again if the quality was good when it arrived.

I was a bit irritated that something that was meant to be in stock was actually out of stock and wouldn't be arriving with the rest of the order.

They are ridiculously slow. The clothes take weeks, months even - waiting and waiting for DDs winter coat.

I ordered a dressing table and they kept emailing me saying 2 weeks every time. 3 months later (2 weeks before xmas) they then said it was out of stock. I was fuming as it was an Xmas present.

It was back in stock beginning of Jan with an increased price.

I refuse to order anything now.

moragbellingham · 11/05/2011 20:01

They have a rubbish reputation and I told them to check out Mumsnet to see for themselves!!

TuttoRhino · 11/05/2011 20:03

Yes they are very, very slow. I had a shock quick delivery last week. And lo and behold they sent me the wrong item.

If I didn't have the various 50% off coupons, I would not order from them again. Quality pretty good - mostly get nursery / bedroom items - but service is piss-poor.

One word. AWFUL.

midnightexpress · 11/05/2011 20:14

The one time I ordered from them it took aaaaaaaaaaaaages to come (about 3 weeks iirc), so I've never ordered from them again. Shame, as they have some nice stuff for children.

RamblingRosa · 11/05/2011 20:20

They are super slow. The other thing that pisses me off about them is I keep on getting statements about my credit account when I've never opened a credit account and I don't want one.
On the plus side, lots of the clothes are lovely, the customer service helpline staff are always very nice and helpful, and they often have good discount codes.

I Love Vertbaudet - always found them really good - never had any problems. Give them a call - I've always found them really helpful

We understand that some deliveries have taken longer than expected or advised. We strive to deliver goods ?in stock? from our warehouses either in the UK or in France within 5-10 working days and the current average is 5 working days. This season we have increased our stock holding in the UK enabling a high proportion of orders now to be delivered in 3 working days. In addition to this we are developing new services to provide an express delivery option to our customers.

haha! good on Vertbaudet for commenting on the thread. I've never had any problems - not as super quick as other companies but the prices and offers are so good I'm happy to wait a bit longer.
