Ok Johnnie,
We have had a fairly easygoing relationship in the past, you sell clothes, I buy them ( although sometimes I have to return them due to dodgy sizing or styling but that's another story)
I have to say that lately I have been getting somewhat cold towards you.
Firstly there was the whole extra specially expensive range which seemed to mainly consist of garments that looked very much like what was available in the rest of the catalogue but made out of silk and twice the price.
Secondly I went to the Boden sale and had to pay £4 for the privilige of parking when Joules didn't charge me a penny, only to find boxes full of garments that would be rejected at a car boot sale due to lack of taste or attractiveness.
However the final thing which has pushed me over the edge is your delightful lifestyle magazine that arrived through my door this morning. I have scanned through it on the loo, thinking it might be another of your "summer update" catalogues which consist of 200 pages of things I have seen already, with about 3 new items, however it appears instead to be some sort of lifestyle magazine.
If I wished to read a lifestyle magazine, which I don't, I would purchase one to my taste, not some piece of tat cobbled together by your marketing department to make purchasers feel like they belong to some sort of elite group, but actually creates the opposite effect.
So here is the deal, why don't you focus on what you are good at - making middle range items for middle aged ladies and give all the other stuff a bit of a wide berth then we will all feel much better.
Yours ( despite myself forever)
