Aveda don't test on animals and do a couple of non aerosol hairsprays.

I'm sure there are lots of others if you just Google cruelty free hair products but I've tried the Aveda one and it's quite good.

Suncoat hair products are brilliant, they don't test on animals, they're corn-based (as opposed to plastic) and don't use propellants, so they're kind to bunnies, the planet and the air. And they work brilliantly on my curly and unruly hair. I'd say they were all pretty "firm hold" if that makes sense, the hairspray is the best bunny-friendly one I've ever tried.

The following two books are good for cruelty free/organic/fair trade products which work
The Green Beauty Bible: The Ultimate Guide to Being Naturally Gorgeous
Look Great Naturally...Without Ditching the Lipstick by Janey Lee Grace

Not personally used but Modern Organic Products firm Fresh [ they claim it is zero environmental impact] is recommended as is Aveda Witch Hazel hair spray with a light to medium hold and organic witch hazel
