I've ordered this. What's the MN verdict? Assuming it fits and isn't hideous what shall I buy to put on mt feet?

I am not sure about the top detail and the bottom going together, it looks like two different styles mishmashed together BUT if it looks good on then that's all that matters. I like the pattern :-)

sorky · 10/05/2011 13:57

it hurts my eyes to look at it, nice colours though

Diablo82 · 10/05/2011 14:00

I would wear it with some high wedges with blue canvas uppers.

CandiceMariePratt · 10/05/2011 14:03

I don't care for it, sorry

BelovedCunt · 10/05/2011 14:04

it is nice but doesn't really suit the model! and is expensive. i would wear shoes like the models but in red

snowmummy · 10/05/2011 16:26

Hmm not an overwhelming positive response Shock. Never mind. Anyone else?

OP posts:
sue52 · 10/05/2011 16:35

There is a lot going on with the pattern so I would stick to classic but very high court shoes.

ggirl · 10/05/2011 16:36

looks a bit maternity dress to me

FrancesFarmer · 10/05/2011 16:39

I like it but as ggirl said, it could make you look pregnant.

whoneedssleepanyway · 10/05/2011 17:00

I like it but have tried on some dresses in Jigsaw recently that do the same thing, kind of not fitted at the waist but flow down from the bust and find they don't do anything for me.

Shoe wise I would go with wedges of some description, think tan ones look nice.

snowmummy · 10/05/2011 17:13

Ah I chose it because I kind of hoped it would hide my baby belly not make me look pregnant

snowmummy · 10/05/2011 17:14

whoneeds, I like the tan wedges with it too

get one of those tummy control vests from m&s that everyone is raving about.

tbh if i had 159 quid to spend on a dress i would not pick that one

BunnyLebowski · 10/05/2011 17:33

It's just a bit meh for want of a better word.

And as BelovedCunt for that money there are so many more eye-catching and generally prettier dresses out there.

whoneedssleepanyway · 10/05/2011 18:26

I think jigsaw dresses have to be tried though. I often think it all looks drab an uninspiring on the rail but two of my fave dresses r from there and look nothing on hanger but are really great. Also I think sometimes it pays to spend more on something u will wear all the time as opposed to an occasion dress u wear a couple of times.

snowmummy · 10/05/2011 18:46

Beloved, what would you spend it on? I don't particularly want to spend £159 tbh but I can't find anything that I like. I don't want anything that's too girl such as floral.

OP posts:
snowmummy · 10/05/2011 18:47

That should read 'that's too girly'

OP posts:
BelovedCunt · 10/05/2011 19:09

snowmummy - sorry i hope i haven't upset you. and yes i agree, i have a jigsaw dress that i wear to bits but prob. didn't look like much on the rail.

try it on when it comes adn if you love it keep it. if not have a look at mango i really like their dresses atm

snowmummy · 10/05/2011 19:19

No, you haven't upset me at all! I'm just looking for suggestions. I've been looking for weeks and need the dress for a week on friday and again the following sunday. I'm also struggling to dress my post baby body so any help is gratefully received.

BelovedCunt · 10/05/2011 19:20

do try the control vest thing. i had something similar post dd and it was a godsend

snowmummy · 10/05/2011 19:21

I tried a couple of mango dresses on on Sunday and sadly, their XL is too small - I'm only a size 14 fgs!

MrsMc82 · 10/05/2011 20:03

Love the frock!

mathanxiety · 10/05/2011 20:17

It's wearing the model. And the back makes her derriere look very large.

snowmummy · 10/05/2011 20:28

Thanks Mrs!! You and I are alone methinks

Math - perhaps she's got a large backside Shock. Seriously though, if it makes her bum look big, I stand no chance

mathanxiety · 11/05/2011 18:12

Horizontal stripes across the rear end contrasting with vertical (slimming) stripes on the upper body make for an optical illusion that is guaranteed not to flatter even a skinny 12 year old boy.
