Quick poll: black trousers, black shoes: which tights/socks?

There must be something for the time of year between boots and sandals.

probably opaque or sheer black knee highs. Fish net knee highs could be fun, depending on the occasion. I wear black cotton socks, but am wearing flat shoes. My mother, who is a bit of a nutter wears knee highs in weird colours like hot pink. Actually, I don't really like the look of heels and trousers, which is just personal, and not that helpful I realise. If you want to feel less hot, what about a skirt with sheer flesh coloured tights?

Thanks for answering my boring question. I didn't use to go for heels and trousers but trying to smarten up a bit and I'm pretty short too. I normally wear opaque pop socks but they seem a bit thick for summer.

Fishnet or lace knee highs is what I wear with black heeled shoes and black trousers for work.
