And it was very flattering I must say. Made me look very skinny. My pins looked great. But then I thought, no, you're nearly 30 woman and I put it back. But it keeps popping back into my haed scraming buy me!

What should I do?

hmmmm, puffball not generally a look I favour on anyone ! Where would you wear it ? Take an HONEST (brutally) friend with you and try it on again if you really want it. They'll tell you if you look like mutton, which I'm sure you don't at 29 !

northerner · 08/11/2005 15:21

I was thinking of wearing it to a few christmas parties. it was a dressy one IYKWIM!

Pam70 · 08/11/2005 16:06

I actally saw a black puffball dress in Zara at lunchtime today - thought it looked pretty good and I would never have considered a puffball dress .... ever.

flamesparrow · 08/11/2005 16:12

My gut response at the title was "why would you do that? why???"

HuggyBear · 08/11/2005 16:13

LOL me and Nutty are obviously to young to remember them....

Didn't we suffer in the 80s so that you didn't have to do this???

MrsSpoon · 08/11/2005 16:15

Yes we need a link.

marthamoo · 08/11/2005 16:15

No, don't do it. Though maybe with a pair of leg warmers....

nutcracker · 08/11/2005 16:15

Lizzylou · 08/11/2005 16:20

Gawd, I had hideous puffball skirts/dresses in the 80's....cannot believe they are back "in"!
Agree, though legs look good in them!

Blandmum · 08/11/2005 16:20

Hang on I'll go and but on some Bananarama!

madmarchhare · 08/11/2005 16:20

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

bundle · 08/11/2005 16:21

northerner that's a tulip not a puffball

bundle · 08/11/2005 16:21

oh - and walk away from it

MrsSpoon · 08/11/2005 16:23

Looks far more relaxed than I remember them looking in the 80's, not so puffy and like the floral fabric, IIRC in the 80's they were either metallic or very brightly coloured. Could actually be quite nice.

MrsSpoon · 08/11/2005 16:24

Although after a second look it does look strangely like it is a long dress that she has accidently tucked into her pants.
