here, but it's only £27, not £35

What do I wear it with - I don't wear dresses very often (who does?) though I do have long jersey one I think it would go with. So do I wear a top underneath that's longer than it? I'm not doing mine up right under the bust like that model - I would look like Barbara Windsor going to an aerobics class.

I liked it - but I have no idea what to wear it with. I might take it back...

IT doesn't fry my onion, I have to say. Too much yet not quite enough Kate Bush.

And why does 'racing green give it a demure appeal', eh? EH??? Would it be less demure in, say, purple?

marthamoo · 08/11/2005 13:01

What do you reckon to this then - the khaki fringed cardi I ummed and aaahed between the two.

Not sure about the acrylic content, that's my wonder.

Have you checked out Gap knitwear? Some fab merino and fab cashmere stuff there.

LIZS · 08/11/2005 13:03

Sorry neither are really my taste. Perhaps it is the colour as it was my school uniform.

stitch · 08/11/2005 13:03

personally id go for the next one. the marks one style just isnt me at alll

marthamoo · 08/11/2005 13:07

No Gap here in the sticks, alas. I love green, though I know what you mean about school uniform though - it was years before I could wear dark brown again. Might take it back and get the Next one instead.

Don't you have to faff about handwashing cashmere and merino?

I don't handwash anything, but merino is officially machinewashable, and Gap v-necks are £32 acksherly.

no, merino. Nice colours.

motherinferior · 08/11/2005 13:13

...and fine, and nork-revealing.

nailpolish · 08/11/2005 13:13

tesco have some gorgeous cashmere and wool jumpers, lots of different colours and styles, and a cardi a lot like the one in next that you linked for £20, it has a gorgeous brooch instead of a button

marthamoo · 08/11/2005 13:14

Ok, I'm persuaded - I'll take it back. Right this minute actually as ds2 is climbing on the furniture in an "I'm so tired I don't know what to do with myself type manner". I shall cram him into his too-small pushchair and head to the shops so he can have a sleep.

OP posts:
nailpolish · 08/11/2005 13:15

are you taking it back and getting the one from next?

marthamoo · 08/11/2005 14:44

Yes, I just did (don't hang about, me). Ds2 is fast asleep in his pushchair (his feet nearly touch the floor now ) and I am soaked through but there doesn't seem much point getting changed as I have to get ds1 in 5 minutes.
