Stuck in a clothes rut :-(

Hi... I'm new here :-)

I have become totally stuck in a clothes rut and would be really grateful if anyone could make some suggestions as to what things might be nice and fashionable to wear! Confused

I seem to live in long sleeved skinny t-shirts from H&M, teamed with work trousers during the week and jeans at the weekend! I hardly ever go shopping (saving for a house deposit and wedding so I don't have a massive budget) and seem to have unwittingly adopted my age 60+ mother's attitude of 'wear what's comfortable' and 'what's the point of buying new?!' (she does volunteer work in a charity shop and brings items home for me, some of which are okay-ish and others not-so-okay ;-) ).

I would love to wear skirts / dresses and look more feminine, but I struggle to find casual ones, and work ones all seem, to me, to be a bit aging! I'm 28, size 8, 5ft 4 ... I don't want to sound big headed, but I do feel a little bit like I've got an alright figure and am youngish, so I should really be making the best of myself!

all suggestions gratefully accepted :-)

You have more than an alright figure!

Right, some questions before we get cracking.

What do you want, work and casual dresses? Do you need clothes that will work with running after small children? Can you give us some occasions that you need to dress for, ie: toddler groups, coffee with friends, dinner with DP etc

What colouring are you and what celebrity style would you love to emulate?
