Holes appearing everywhere...in viscose items.

Have washed 3 new items this week - a dress, t-shirt and l/s t-shirt all worn once. All have developed a tiny hole each. Look like moth holes but am pretty sure they are not as have all the anti - moth stuff in wardrobe and the clothes haven't all been in there??
All are made of viscose so only washed at 30 degrees as it does shrink.
Anyone else have this problem? Also can I attempt repairs with my rubbish sewing skills although the material looks v.thin.
I suppose I should avoid viscose but like the drapeyness (made up word) of it.

Huge phone in on LBC about this some months back. Are they all roughly in the same place? because general consensus was chemicals in some cleaning products, and the holes appear generally where we lean against kitchen counters etc.

It's a theory.
